This and the following two works (15 & 16) are from a series of fictive ?skulls that imagine the mortal remains of various national 'types'. A deadpan pun on bone china, these skulls project images and events across the hitherto unknown 'craniums' of deceased but nationally recognised 'individuals'. Works in this series include the following two pieces - Prospector's skull and Surfer's skull ' as well as others not included in this exhibition (i.e. Larrikin's Skull, Explorer's Skull (Voss), Poet's Skull (Ern Malley), etc.
