The work is covered with botanical and zoological images principally taken from the exploration accounts of voyages by Captains (like Dampier, Cook and Bruny d?Entrecasteaux) who undertook voyages of exploration to Australia and the Pacific. In a Versace-like pose, but derived from Stubbs? Kangaroo, and as if covered in blue tattoos, the Kangaroo bust also features two images of Maori chiefs, themselves great naval explorers and discoverers.
