John Dent : Recent Paintings 2024

This exhibition of paintings by John Dent reveals his use of layered subtle colours
which allows for a beautiful glow. There is a complexity in the artist’s placement of objects within the paintings, particularly evident in the still life works, highlighting the Dent’s carefully considered compositions. The construction of composition is perhaps even more evident in John Dent’s printed work, especially in the monochrome prints where line and texture come to the fore.
