In Friends, Foes and Favourites, McWilliams invites the viewer to enter his world, peopled with dogs, shep, cows, birds, and the native animals of the Tasmanian bush, whose activities - often absurd, frequently amusing, sometimes sinister - are transformed through his inspired observation into artworks of great appeal and subtle humour.
