AAADA Fair Sydney 2023

The Australian Art and Antique Dealers Fair is showing at the Great Hall, Sydney University with a gala opening on Thursday 31st August and then Friday 1 – Sunday 3 September.

Lauraine Diggins Fine Art will be exhibiting a range of Australian artworks, including by W.B. Gould; S.T. Gill; Frederick McCubbin;  Clara Southern; Bessie Davidson;  Thea Proctor; Florence Rodway; Janet Cumbrae Stewart; Norman Lindsay; Arthur Boyd; Robert Dickerson; Robert Clinch; John Dent; Helen Tiernan and many others.

We are featuring an impressive large-scale painting by Helen Peters, titled The End of the Way and dated 1906 and illustrating a poem relating the harsh tale of a ‘sundowner’ down on his luck.

“I think of the riches of which I’ve no share —
I think of Life’s joys that to me are so rare;
Then, with “billy” in hand, and my swag on my back,
I wander away on the Wallaby track.”
