Further Information
This composition is handled with harmonious ease and reflects Beckett’s interest in the work of the Japanese artist Hokusai. The phenomena of the rising Autumn moon while the last flush of sunset lingers, lent itself to Beckett’s passion for mastering the fleeting moment of uncommon and beautiful effects.
