Again it is the patterning brought about by these fires that make them fascinating from an environmental and aesthetic perspective; Tiernan celebrates this in her mosaic series of paintings.
Placement focuses on the way trees became placed on the land through controlled fires. The modularity of trees references how they could be shifted, like the internationalist furniture so popular in today’s homes.
