Anita Selzer at LDFA – Lauraine Diggins Fine Art

Join us on Saturday 21 November to hear author Anita Selzer in conversation on the launch of her latest book, The Female Gaze: Volume 3. The focus of this publication is three Australian women artists: Jane Sutherland, Emma Minnie Boyd and Josephine Muntz Adams. Each volume in the series explores The Female Gaze in art, with the thread throughout each of the books examining art from a female point of view, as artist; subject and viewer, and making women a visible presence in art history.

The event will include a select display of paintings from the three artists featured in the book, as well as an early preview of our exhibition celebrating Australian women artists over the past 150 years.

Anita Selzer is an award winning author of over a dozen books, celebrating women’s stories across a range of disciplines including history, sport, art, politics. Her books look at the lives of women who have been ignored and undervalued filling a gap in the socio-historical context.
