We are pleased to confirm that all three major political parties in Australia have now reached a consensus position to rule out the Cooper Report proposals to ban artworks from self managed superannuation funds. This is a great win however there is still an issue in regard to new standards for storing artworks to ensure there is no 'personal benefit'. We extend our congratulations to Genevieve Kemarr Loy who has been selected as a finalist in the 2010 Metro Art Award. This is a very important award for young emerging Australian artists. The exhibition runs from 25 July to 15 August 2010 at Metro Art Gallery, 1214 High Street, Armadale, Victoia 3143, with voting for the acquisitive People's Choice award open from 25 July to 1 August 2010.

Lauraine Diggins Fine Art wishes to congradulate Robert Clinch on being a finalist in the Fletcher Jones art Prize for painting. The work will be exhibited at Gellong Gallery from Saturday 24 July till Sunday 12 September. An upcoming solo exhibition by Robert Clinch can also be viewed at the Manningham Gallery from Wednesday 14 July till Saturday 31 July 2010.
